antique fishing lure: i don't know if i am in the right ng for this but i thought i would take a shot. recently, i recieved for a gift, a couple of hundred antique lures. so i have my trusty identification and value guide here with a couple of thousand pictures of lures. needless to say, even at that, it comes up a little short. so, my question is are there any of you that really know this stuff or could someone point me in the right direction to figure the value of these. i do know at least 2 of them , so far , are rare. they are on the cover of the book. one of them is a naked hula popper and the other is crazy crawler. in any event, any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.....happy holidays, ross p.s. i am big fishing fan too!
antique fishing lure: vern, no problem on the delay on fishing. i've been pretty busy closing up the year on my club tourneys, the federation, and an adult/youth circuit with my daughter. i'll try to fit you in any time i can though, so you just give me a call when you're ready. if no one answers, leave a message, i'm probably out fishing. :) i'm like the ultimate guide... i can point you to the bass, the antique lure folks, and even a catholic church or two. now, who can ask for more than that?
antique fishing lure: on the other hand, painted beams can look great if you also use them to display stuff you like. in a previous house, my wife had baskets and antique hats filled with dried wildflowers. i had a collection of lure antique fishing gear. everyone loved it, and you could barely see the beams. display what you love and it will look good. lure

antique fishing lure: amagine being in a major car accident in your antique automobile. not a vw but thoes huge metal ones with all the curves i think they might be a 40's ford or chevrolet. the worst part is you couldn't avoid that accident because the car you are driving didn't have sufficient brakes for modern driving fishing lure conditions... and not only that but you have no seatbelt! the amount of money you put into your antique is now irrelevant because you and your family have all died the day you took your dinasour age ford to the freeway and totalled it. a car designed when safety wassn't an issue... :-( just awfull fishing lure
