antique glassware: the only thing i'd like to add is don't limit yourself to "wood" design books. when i go to the library or a huge bookstore (b&n), i peruse books on pottery of the world, antique glassware, yellowware bowls, pewter ware, antique treen, etc.
antique glassware: wednesday afternoon my wife and i took a ride to the roycroft campus in east aurora, ny. she was looking for antique glassware and i was looking for woodworking ideas. we visited their gift shop which sells items made by local crafters. they had a "arts & crafts" style cabinet for sale, about 22" deep by 34" wide and 28" tall. it was nice, but not extraordinary. the selling price was $3,796.00. my guess is the sales outlet's name helps when asking that price.
antique glassware: this american glassware company is no longer in existence, which makes this piece especially good as a collectible. a collector's item for fostoria collector's, antique collectors and investors in fine dishware. $25
antique glassware: bizarrely, sometimes "old" pc parts go for more than new. about a year ago i got $125 for a mangey old 850mhz slot 1 p3 cpu. it seems that "overclockers" like to match them up and install them on dual-cpu motherboards and they just don't make them any more. i've sold old amd motherboards and got more than i paid for them a year before. computer stuff always sells. it's all my antique glassware that goes for a pittance......:))
antique glassware: up to you michael - i have dealt with ebay for about four years and have never had a problem, although i have heard some horror stories. i have bought and sold antique glassware from the us, computer gear from australia, and lots of other gear without any worries - but i do always check feedback both for sellers and buyers before committing myself.
