antique show: thanks tina. i did know it was tree sap, but had no clue what it weighed. the main reason i thought it was plastic (besides weight) was the other pieces i've seen in the grocery store. imo, things you can buy at the grocery or local discount store have no place at an antique show.

antique show: judy drug me to an antique show today at will rogers coliseum in fort worth. she takes pleasure in me having to explain to her what some of the antique kitchen utensils and farm implements are, even tho she grew up in a tiny east texas farm town. she takes pleasure in bein younger than me. at the third booth we visited, there were a couple of bowls that had candy kisses and some mixed minature candy in em. i spotted one that had what looked like candy coated peanuts. i put a handful in my mouth and chomped on em. whew weeee! it wern't candy coated peanuts! it was some kind of aromatic mixture! i spit them into my hand and quickly looked to see iffn anyone saw what i did. lucky for me, everyone was lookin the other way. i quickly went to the concession stand and got me a coke to wash the taste from my mouth. i didn't tell judy what i had done until about an hour ago. robert
antique show: fallcon is a fairly well-known comics show -- has been running for years -- in minneapolis. russ heath, bruce jones, frank cho and adam hughes were among the many guests this time 'round. being a guest myself -- and quite busy doing sketches the whole show, i never got over to the antique show -- though i'd have liked to.
