antique trunks: inspiring day yet again! as for the furniture and trunks, if your mom could sell the stuff would she be more tempted to get rid of it? in my experience if it is antique and isn't a dresser missing all it's drawers, a veneered piece with the veneer falling off or rock maple someone will buy it. i'm into anti-q's both as a dealer and a collector and at auctions i'm still amazed at what old crap furniture sells to those who do restoration (generally in the $25-$350 range)....even more amazed when i see what beautiful things they turned some of the crap into.
