architectural antique: we also have a box or two of old tv tubes. (yes, tubes.) an old tv (well, thus the tubes.) and a couple of extra radiators - not the car kind. oh, and scrap millwork. from our own house. circa 1915. so...that's not really being a pack rat, it's being an architectural antique collector. yeah. that's it.
architectural antique: anybody out there interested in working with me on this? marketing from a website, etc.? it's an ideal business in that you could run it from nearly anywhere - even podunk, utah. someone with an education background (who actually takes the time to check their spelling and gramma). maybe 'reconstruct' damaged panels too - a 36" by 58" (golden rectangle) by 1.5" would weigh about 45 lbs - so close to the ups shipping limit - but multiple panels could easily be attached to a wood, concrete or brick wall. i have been collecting for fifteen years photos/drawings of archeological and architectural antique sculptures, panels and objects.
architectural antique: try dealers in architectural antiques. i do quiet a bit of restoration / repair for several of these folks. unfortunately church windows and other ecclesiastic art is hard to move. you may find a tuff time getting one to buy it out right. they will however take your photo and your info. if they get someone interested they can usually put a deal together. do a web search for architectural antiques
