craft glue: hmmm...that article on repairing bumped corners with craft glue, sryringes, and c-clamps was interesting. however, while the corners in your example photo do look sharp, i don't think i'd want to risk treating the book in the suggested manner. i'd think one would risk damaging the book further by poking holes in it (clearly visible in your photo of the repaired book) and by using craft glue rather than archival glue. one would also have to exercise great care with the glue so as not to affect the boards' covering (by seepage).
craft glue: the text says: 'use some large photos [...]. use craft glue to paste the photos onto the cardboard. when it is dry, contact over both side or take it to have it laminated. then use scissors or a stanley knife to cut it into...'
craft glue: a real eye-opener, glue-wise, came when i learned that the popular silicon craft glue, e-6000 is the same glue, made by the same manufacturer, as the "goop" line ... and that a tube of "crafters goop" costs at least a buck more than a same-sized tube of "hardware goop" ... yet, according to the manufacturer, they are the exact same adhesive.
craft glue: use felt to cut out basic shapes. sew the edges together with yarn and stuff them with fiberfill batting. if you want easy shapes, look in children's coloring books or use stencils - these could be hebrew letters, fruit stars, leaves, etc. they could be decorated with glitter or sequins too, either using craft glue or a glue gun.
craft glue: i've tried 3m super 77 sprayed only on the lexan, and also sprayed only on the artwork. in both cases, the lexan and artwork "fogged". i've also tried elmer's craft bond paper craft glue gel, which although it didn't "fog", it didn't adhere well, either.
