french antique: hi, i have a french oceanic surcouf radio, from 1958 according to the french antique radio web site. that web site lists the tube complement. and in fact, that is the tube complement that the radio came with. however, that tube complement can't possibly be right. for example, the output tube is given as an el84 (6bq5). however, the socket for the output tube has pin 2 empty (nothing was ever soldered there). pin 2 is the control grid for an el84! similar "wiring errors" exist for the 2nd detector/1st audio tube, ebf80 (6n8). what i desparately need is the schematic, or at least the correct tube lineup for this radio. any help is greatly appreciated, even a lead to a french radio expert. regards, dave
