holiday craft: another holiday craft that kids this age can really get into is "gingerbread" houses made from graham grackers. get a bunch of small milk cartons or orange juice cartons -- they are the size of graham crackers. buy a couple of cartons of frosting, and a bunch of decorative types of toppings (m&ms, sprinkles, whatever). the kids stick the graham crackers to the milk carton with the frosting, and add frosting and decorations to the outside. they aren't edible, but they're kind of pretty, and it makes a big enough mess to satisfy most 2 year olds. plus, if any of the adults want to make one, they can use a larger carton or even just do it free-form (without the carton) and end up with something really artistic.
holiday craft: you can also do the same thing with sugar cookies: little kids love decorating sugar cookies with frosting and whatever toppings you set out, and it makes a good holiday craft since decorated sugar cookies are a kind of traditional.

holiday craft: i've started a new yahoo group so i can send all my customers a periodic email regarding my holiday craft items that will be for sale on my website. beginning on september 1st, i will post all my new canes (and necklaces, earrings, etc.) on my webpage. you can purchase them directly using paypal's shopping cart option. the reason for doing this is to try and control the ebay fees i'm currently incurring. any of you who sell on ebay know that they seem to "nickel and dime you to the poorhouse". i want to see if selling directly from my website will help.
