rustic door: i have a wooden panel & frame garage door for my shop and the of the door is un-paneled. so i put some rigid foam board insulation in between the framing (1.5" was perfect) and i bought 2- 4'x8' sheets of some nice rustic wood paneling that's 1/4" sheets. i want to install the sheeting over the inside of the door so it looks nice on the inside. however i don't want to have to use nails/screws/staples to secure it because they would be ugly & exposed imo.
rustic door: algarve rustic house renovated in 2004, located nearly at 1 kilometre from armać§ć£o de pera beach. the leisure area, with 300 square meters approximately, includes 2 grass plot areas, barbecue and private swimming pool (10m x 5m). the villa interior is composed of a suite with double bed with a shower room. the other 2 bedrooms have 2 twin beds. a bathroom supplies these bedrooms. at the villa entrance there is the living room with sofa bed and an old stove. at the right side of the entrance there is the lounge and the kitchenette. the kitchenette is equipped with a ceramic hob stove, electric oven, a two door fridge, toaster, coffee machine and hand blender. the lounge is composed of a dining table for 6 pax, satellite tv and sofas with seats for 6 pax. the lodging has iron and ironing board, water heating system provided by solar panels, central heating system and cot. it has private parking.
rustic door: get the wood cut to size at timberyard. - rough sawn 1by is cheaper than t&g, and more "rustic"[1] use a hammer and nails. - this will also look more "rustic" a tenon saw will cost a couple of quid - buy any old rubbish if you're only doing one job (or borrow from next door neighbour). - if you get wood cut at yard, you've only got 4 cuts (the diagonals) per door to make. double z is what you want - remember to make the diagonal (the "brace") go *upwards" away from the hinge side!
rustic door: as a roatan resident, i've been to both coco view and fantasy island. fibr is comparable to a decent u.s. hotel with an adequate restaurant but in a gorgeous location. ccv, almost next door, is very rustic, but i don't know any roatan dive resort that boasts more return visitors. it has a very casual atmosphere with no pretentions. i'm not trying to criticize fibr or promote coco view; these are just the observations of someone who has visited both places several times, but not been a "guest" at either place. both places are a bit out of the way so you have to plan and arrange transportation if you want to tour the island.
rustic door: i had a old tin of gloss black that took weeks to dry. i used it on some metal door/window furniture too late to realise... so, i simply sprayed over the painted items with an enamel black paint (which gave a suitable rustic and preferred matt finish anyway). hey presto! dry in a couple of hours and ultimately, so much more scratch/wear resistant than if used either by itself.
